The Rijksakademie stimulates artistic development and forward-thinking art, working with a global perspective. For over 150 years we have brought together innovative and talented Dutch and international artists, and have invested in the roots of new art forms and movements. Our vision is that art is a crucial factor in an open and innovative society, in which artists question, positively stimulate, inspire and thus enrich lives.

Join us today and support a new generation of artists.

Artists for Artists

Help the Rijksakademie to build on opportunities for a future generation of artists. As an alumnus you can support artists by making a one-time or recurring gift. Every gift matters.

Rijksakademie Artist Endowment Fund

In 2008 former Rijksakademie director Janwillem Schrofer initiated an auction with works of artists associated with the Rijksakademie: former presidents and (former) advisors, winners and jury members of the Prix de Rome. The proceeds resulted in the Rijksakademie Artist Endowment Fund (RAEF). Since 2014, the majority of the artists’ research and work budgets have been paid from the RAEF.

All donations from artists, both financial and in kind, will directly benefit the work and project budgets of the current and future generation of artists at the Rijksakademie.
