Warmoes Biennale

The Rijksakademie is artistic partner of the very first Warmoes Biennale, which takes place from 7 March until 3 May in the heart of Amsterdam, and includes work by, amongst others, alumni Elspeth Diederix, Folkert de Jong, Benjamin Li, and Marijke van Warmerdam.

During the Biennale, artists, entrepreneurs, cultural institutions, and residents will come together to show what lives in this neighbourhood and how people from all over the world inspire one another here. The festival invites visitors to look differently at this much-discussed, criticised, yet also beloved part of the capital. Over two months, a diverse programme of events enfolds, with intimate and monumental artworks in sometimes unexpected locations.
